    Description

2.3 length Wide Bore. (A pitched) - 29" made for the taller player.
All natural non root bamboo. Fully guaranteed.
Made specially after my Father Jun flute for Warrior TV show.
    Older Pentatonic scale.
This bass instrument has that desired "wind in the bamboo tone".
It is a special hybrid shakuhachi with an older Xiao tuning from China.
I love these flutes so much I am offering a full guaranteed. If you are 100% satisfied, you can have an exchange, full refund with no restocking fee, and I will even pay all shipping costs. I stand by my instruments.
I designed this model for the Warrior TV series where I needed a bamboo flute with a more authentic period tuning of the late 1800s.  For shakuhachi players, the difference is the Chi holke is actually sharper than old Japanese shakuhachi which are sharper in general for western player. It's a minor 3rd up from the Re hole. Its actually a darker feeling,  bluesier scale for Western ears. One can not play a "wrong" note. Anyone can use it for blowing zen, mediative playing or other contemporary music. It is only limited by the player's skill and imagination. Because I am a repair person, I can offer fully functional instruments well below the market price and stand by them. This flute come with an audition period and lifetime guarantee. In 2002 I received the Japan United States Friendship Commission to study shakuhachi making and playing in Japan under Kinya Sogawa, who apprenticed with Chikusen Tamai, who also trained many of the top professional shakuhachi makers in Japan. In 2014, I received the Asian Culture Council Award to continue my studies and research into the Edo Period flutes and Koten Honkyoku music in Japan. Feel free to find me on instagram and facebook yungflutes to learn how my shakuhachi help UNICEF, social justice and food banks nationwide. Thanks for looking! - Perry
